PRESTON ROCKABILLY VOLUME 2 - OUT OF THE VALLEY (16 great Aussie rockers. It’s been a few years since the release of the compilation album 'Preston Rockabilly' which features the now legendary Australian Rockabilly giants, Wes Pudsey and the Sonic Aces, The Flatfoot Shakers and The Satellites. Back in August of 1999, these three accomplished bands entered the Preston recording studios in Melbourne to cut an album of red hot rockin’ tunes and the album is a now sought after collectors item. It’s been a long time between drinks, but nearly 10 years on, a new breed of fresh Rockabilly talent has emerged to follow in the footsteps of these talented artists. Pat Capocci, Danny and the Cosmic Tremors, and Ezra Lee make up the trio of artists to be featured on the follow up album 'Out of The Valley' Preston Rockabilly - Volume 2. Pat Capocci has made a name for himself over the past few years fronting the Pat Capocci Combo, building up a reputation as one of the most energetic and entertaining acts performing in the Rockabilly genre. Renowned across the country and performing at major festivals including the Wintersun Rock and Roll festival and the Great Southern Blues and Rockabilly festival, Pat’s unique style and charisma combined with his natural song writing ability provide a performance that is high octane and second to none. Danny and the Cosmic Tremors came about after a chance meeting where Danny sat in with the Pat Capocci Combo to perform a couple of tunes in February of 2008. The session went so well that it soon became a regular occurrence and the idea for the combo materialised. Danny’s previous performances with bands such as The Sharp Shifters and The Firedomes as well as a feature spot at the Wintersun Rock and Roll Festival with the Sonic Aces backing, has brought experience and an extra dimension to the band. Recent shows in Queensland, Melbourne and Sydney have been praised with rave reviews, combining traditional raw and authentic 1950’s Rockabilly with an original energetic style all of their own. Ezra Lee is well known as the rockin’ boogie woogie piano man, sitting in regularly with Johnny Greens Blues Cowboys. His own project, The Ezra Lee show, is well known throughout the Newcastle (NSW) region where his energetic shows combine the classic feel of early 1950’s rocking artists like Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard along with country and blues artists such as Hank Williams, Memphis Slim and Ray Charles just to mention a few. WHEN ROCKABILLY RULED...OK (This 20 -Track compilation celebrates 30 years since the UK rockabilly revival. It contains many hard to find and long since deleted tracks, many of which have never been released on CD. The opening track to this compilation ‘Spinning Rock Boogie’ by Hank C Burnette charted in the mid 70’s and was Paul Burnette’s record of the week on BBC Radio 1. Many of these bands went on to have massive chart success including Matchbox and The Jets. Here were showcase their early pre-fame singles. BBC Radio 2 just aired a 1-hour documentary on the subject of the 70’s UK Rockabilly revival and its listening figures were huge.
